Kursus ini bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan perlaksanaan urusan perniagaan dan kekerajaanan secara elektronik dalam talian. Kursus ini dibahagikan kepada Lima Bahagian. Bahagian Pertama memperkenalkan pelajar kepada ekomers dengan membincangkan aspek-aspek e komers dan prasarana teknologi bagi Internet dan World Wide Web. Bahagian kedua ialah Startegi bisnes dan e komers. Bahagian ini mengandungi aspek-aspek seperti Penjualan dalam web, Pemasaran dalam web, Strategi Bisnes ke Bisnes dan Persekitaran ekomers dan juga perbincangan isu-isu etika dan perundangan dalam e komers. Bahagian ketiga ialah Teknologi dalam ekomers. Bahagian ini mengandungi aspek-aspek seperti perisian dan perkakasan pelayan web, sekuriti dan sistem pembayaran. Bahagian keempat pula Pengintegrasian yang mengandungi aspek perancangan untuk melakukan ekomers. Bahagian Akhir iaitu Bahagian Kelima ialah perbincangan aplikasi utama MSC yang berkaitan kerajaan elektronik. Pelajar akan di bawa melawat ke MAMPU, iaitu organisasi yang terlibat secara langsung dalam merancang, melaksanakan dan seterusnya menjayakan kerajaan elektronik dan juga melawat persekitaran kerajaan elektronik.
The objective of the course is to introduce the students to both theory and practice in conducting businesses over Internet and World Wide Web. The course content is divided into 5 Parts. Part 1 introduces the students to e-commerce and discusses the infrastructure technology of Internet and World Wide Web. Part 2 discusses on business strategy for electronic commerce. It contains the aspects of selling and marketing on the web, business to business strategy and a discussion on several issues of e-commerce environment including legal, ethical and taxes issues. Part 3, Technologies for the Internet. Discusses on the hardware and software especially on the aspects of web security and e- commerce payment system. Part 4 discusses on planning for e- commerce project. Part 5 will focus on a case study of electronic government. The students are exposed to electronic government through a visit to Parcel C Bangunan Pentadbiran Putra specifically Jabatan MAMPU. MAMPU is an organisation that is directly involved in planning, setting up and implementing the electronic government
